Concentration Statement

My focus is dreams and especially lucid dreaming. I attempt to capture their mystery, absurdity, and most interestingly, occasional gravity. A small cast of characters makes intermittent appearances through the series, designed to be "read" as a magazine or photo journal. I explore digital media with attention to color and texture moods: photographs, including old family slides, scanned found objects, and veterinary medical illustrations are some repeated elements. The series invites the viewer to recall those parts of dreams that can be moving, baffling, and somehow vitally important.
